Here's a review of the model contest which started Hedi Klum's career back in 1992. Thomas Gottschalk hosted a model contest in his weekly late night show. Each time three girls compete against each other. Each girls is introduced in a one minute video. The host talks a bit with them. Then the viewers can vote for their favourite by phone and the winner is announced later in the show. Winner is 'Model of the week', losers are out of the competition. After three 'Model of the week' constests are held, those three winners compete for 'Model of the month'. Winner becomes one of the five planned finalists. In 'Model of the month' a jury decides the winner instead of the viewers. Three so called experts and a celebrity.

Unfortunally I missed the first two 'Model of the week' contests. This was the third one. Great, three pretty blondes. Sandra Ambroz was my favourite here, but Diana Hennig wins. Well, ok.

Diana Hennig and the previus two weekly winners, Patricia Welz and a redhead (sorry, no picture of her) are now competing for 'Model of the month'. I guess it was a head to head race between Diana and Patricia. Patricia wins and will be back at the big final at the end of the contest.

WHAT THE ....?! I'm convinced that this times celebrity, Petra Schürmann screwed it. She enters the stage and the host asks her to announce the winner. She says Sophie, any twitches when Sophie Rosentreter celebrates. You know, Petra Schürmann was Miss World sometime in the 70s. From those beauty pageants she's used to runner ups being announced first. So she announced the second runner up instead of the winner. That's for sure.

I guess the model agency involved in this contest gave Tanja a kind of consolation prize for being robbed here. And she made good use of it. Just google for the girls here. You find more about Tanja Maric than about any other girl in the contest (except Heidi Klum, of course). Look:

And some more trash talk about that bitch Sophie Rosentreter. She returned to the tv screen and annoyed the viewers. First as VJ at MTV. And then as 'Kermit Rosentreter' at that silly Big Brother show. (She has a voice similar to Kermit the frog from Sesame Street.)
In interviews she allways bragged about making it into the finals, just defeated by Heidi Klum.
When she became more and more annoying and unpopular, she stripped for Playboy. Didn't help her, she vanished from the tv screen. Fortunally.

Caroline Duss is hot. Not one of these flat chested, skinny models. Her intoduction video showing her in a swimsuit was great. Nicole Schlüter is pretty, too. But she looks a bit to young.

Let's see if the viewers understand that this is a model contest, not a beauty contest. Kirsten Krogmann and Sabine Müller are somewhat pretty, but boring, nothing special. Yvonne Hoffmann is certainly the best model in this group. More personality than the other two. And the dress she wears has more style than the unimaginative little black dresses her competition wears. But of course, the viewers don't understand and vote for Sabine.

So far the host Thomas Gottschalk was quite neutral about the girls. Hard to tell who his favourite girl was in each of the contests. But not this time. His favourite is Karoline Kipfmüller, that's for sure. Called her 'Karo' and talks with her more than with the other two girls together. Camera is most of the time on Karoline. Audience gives the loudest cheers for her. Does Karoline already has it in the bag?
No, the viewers vote differently: Iris-Vivien Scharf kicks her out.

That one was funny! The host Thomas Gottschalk asks Helen Schäfer a question, Helen answers. Then he asks Kerstin Schraudolf, Kerstin answers.
So far so good, now he asks Julia Ostertag a question, but Kerstin Schraudolf keeps answering with her annoying voice. But camera is already on Julia, with a dumb look on her face. Haha. Don't tell me that Kerstin was just nervous and that wasn't done on purpose.
Now the host, with a dumb look on his face, too, asks Julia another question. When Julia finally gets the chance to say something, we see Kerstin with a mean smile on her side. What a bitch!
I think Julia Ostertag had a good chance of winning this one, but Kerstin Schraudolf has ruined it. After the show, in the dressing room with Kerstin, Julia should...

To determine a replacement for her a replay of last times 'Model of the month' is held together with the scheduled one. Just with Stefanie Winter instead of Christina-Dana. Iris-Vivian Scharf wins.

The other contest has a tie, both Heidi and Sheba get the same points from the jury. Oh, oh, just a single point less from one of the judges, and Heidi would have been kicked out here. And she likely didn't made the career she made. That was close.
Now there will be six finalists instead of five.
